Slow (20min) boot after loginConfiguration:
Some of my Windows 2000 wk are getting delay "applying computer settings" after loggin into server 2003 domain. No XP wk are getting this. Also are loosing access to networked drives unless they are mapped to IP address. Server has DNS address of the inside server(which is itself). Some PC's work great - some take 20 - 30 minutes to apply settings. We use DHCP - we have tried Static addressing - nothing seems to work.HELP!!ZD Operating System : Windows Server 2003

Searching for something similar and came across this 6 months later !

If it's still a problem post back.
or better still run msconfig (or 2003 equiv) to systematically check all startup items.
