System Ini File Missing: vsdata95.vkdConfiguration:
Hi,

My computer unexpectedly crashed the other day, now when i start it up it gives me a message saying that a system.ini file is missing - vsdata95.vkd. It stil loads back up, and still works ,apart from some of my desktop settings have reset (nothing serious), but i also cant connect to the internet anymore (pretty serious).

Please could someone either advise me how to fix this problem, or tell me where i can get this file from - and where to put it/install it on my computer, or maybe even send me the file?

Any help greatly appreciated!
Dan

I believe the file you are talking about is vsdata95.vxd and not vsdata95.vkd

vsdata95.vxd is part of Zone Alarm. You may try to uninstall/re-install ZoneAlarm to fix this.
OR
Edit the registry. It is the fastest method, but you have a lot more potential to cause serious problems if you mess up. If you decide to proceed, use caution. Deleting the wrong entry can cause applications to fail, your computer to become unstable or not boot at all. You've been warned, be careful! First, click Start, then Run, then type in Regedit and press enter. In Regedit navigate to: HKEY_LOACAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\VxD. Next click on the plus sign to expand it and you will see a long list of VxD's. Locate VSDATA95.VXD and highlight vsdata95.vxd then press the delete key to remove it. Close Regedit and restart your system.
