Re: Error 603 by star03 on April 13th, 2004 11:40:36 PM Micon, Maybe, this might help. A better description, of your problem. Would also help us, to help you. Things done, prior to this problem. The exact error message. For instance. You also might want to make sure, in your connections (internet explorer) settings, that the proper modem is selected. This can happen, after a driver update (modem), or a new modem install. To list a couple. (227995) "Error 630" or "Port Is Invalid or Busy" When Dialing Out with a Modem Good Luck, S.T.A.R.

Re: Error 603 by micon3 on April 14th, 2004 08:33:51 PM I tried doing what the link said, no go. Was playing a game online the night before it happen. When tried I logging in the following morning, I could not even log in to my desktop. So I rebooted again with my start up disk, it did a surface scan (took an hour). After the scan, I was able to get to my desktop but when I tried connecting online it gave me an Error 630 and on top of that I just found out that my Add/Remove programs are all gone! I tried system restore but it won’t let me. /sigh Am I going to have to back up all the files on my hardrive and reinstall? Will that work or is their any other options I can try? My OS is Windows ME. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks

Re: Error 603 by Anonymous Ghost on January 04th, 2005 08:19:53 AM well, the only fix for this is to contact your computer manufacturer, you don't have to reinstall your OS,you just need to reinstall your modem,or updated the modem driver,or just make sure only one modem is selected for your internet connection.i'm a tech-support agent..and microsoft said so...hope this helps |
