| dns error, please help | Configuration: |
Everything has been fine with my computer till this point, but now I cannot access the internet any more. I am writing from my friend's computer. Every time I open explorer (I've tried it with dial up, dsl, and cable) it says cannot find server. Down below it says cannot find server or dns error. I'm connected to the internet, but I cannot use explorer. I've tryed it with msn explorer, and other browsers but all of them says, cannot find server or dns error. Maybe you know something, maybe I've done something in the internet options. Please help.

What address are you trying to get to in Explorer? Have you tried a number of different web sites and get the same problem?

hi i keep getting cannot find server or dns error my isp said that my pc is no longer recognising letters but numbers i have windows 98,can u help |

Everytime I try to order something something on the Internet and i go to the checkout, dns error comes up. How do i fix it? |

I am using win98 and everytime i go on a site i keep getting the page cannot be displayed and at the end of the page i get cannot find sever or dns error i am with ntl and the site i am trying works on my friends computer. |

hey guys, if u get that error, try contacting your ISP and receving a local DNS server and go to your NIC and specify a DNS server...if still happens you probably have a TCP/IP error and probably have to dump it through the dos prompt command: netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt after that rboot cpu if still happens might be a browser issue...try to ping sites, if can ping then it's a browser issue |

I just need to get at one site. Ever since I started with a wireless card, I can't get at it. Does anyone ever help here? |
