Re: apps.inf file missing and folder.. by chrism on April 12th, 2004 09:45:44 AM go to explorer double click c: double click windows click on tools then folder options then select the view tab then select the radial button for show hidden files then de select the checkmark for hide file extensions for known file types this should unhide the inf folder ok try this, if your using Win98 The apps.inf file is located in the cabinet file 44.cab or 49.cab on the Win98 cd. Once extracted - you can use Win-Zip to extract cab files - place the apps.inf file in the WINDOWSINF folder. You can also use the command line command "expand" for help on using that file, once in the win98 CD directory type "expand /? or ?" to get a listing of how to use the program.
