Try this. Tap F8 when starting the computer. When a boot menu appears, select command prompt only. Type scanreg/restore. Choose a good registry backup file that predates this problem.

Having problem with Compaq Pressario 1200 Laptop booting up. Have sent back to company twice and comes back almost the same, but works a few weeks. Now, it wants a BIOS Setup Password and nothing works. Does anyone have a suggestion? Talked with support today and they CAN'T do anyting? Help! |

i have a compaq presario 700 laptop..os windows xp
at startup it keeps giving me load error press a key to restart,
when i do press a key it gives me the error over and over again..what to do? please help!! |
