Re: primary hard disk drive 0 not found by danpen on April 16th, 2004 05:18:56 AM I had the same problem on an old Pentium1 Computer which had been sitting around for 1/2 year. I would press the F1 Key and go into CMOS setup and rerecognize the hard drive and then reboot and it would boot into Windows, but when I would shut off the computer and then next time I would boot it up get the same error message. The solution to my problem was to replace the BIOS battery and go into CMOS setup rerecognize the HD and reboot.

Re: primary hard disk drive 0 not found by Anonymous Ghost on September 01st, 2004 07:31:00 PM Recently partitioned 40 GB drive first with Dos then with Western Digital Tool Program then installed windows 98 SE but my computer does not boot when starting up. Instead I get this message ‘Primary Hard Disk Not Found” and Press F1 to continue or F2 to enter setup. Pressing F1 boots and starts up the computer but I can’t restart pressing this button when shutting down and I can’t restart with ‘ctrl-alt-delete’ command.

Re: primary hard disk drive 0 not found by Anonymous Ghost on July 07th, 2005 11:39:29 AM On a Dell system, when auto is checked in the bios and there is no drive, this problem will occur. Go to bios and turn to "off" for channel with no drive. |
