locating a firewallConfiguration:
i am finding that when i try and sign into MSN Messenger it will not let me as it says that i am behind a firewall. I did not think i had a firewall on my computer, is there one built into win2k pro?? If so how do you locate it or locate a firewall in general?

I don't know about Windows 2000, but in Windows XP, it's in your network connections area. You need to find your network connections area ("Connect to" it says), select the one you use, then right-click the properties tab. Next select the Advanced tab and you should find the internet firewall, Windows has set up. If you don't find it this way, just go to your Windows Help and type in "firewall". That will help you locate it in Windows 2k Pro.
Hope this helps
