The VPC is just like another computer. The C: drive on it is a virtual drive unless you did other stuff. If the install is not working then I would suspect either some VPC setting wrong or maybe a damaged Win311 floppy or cd? I'd look to the virtual hard drive first. Don't use an expanding type. Make a hard drive first with a set size???Hope that helps. I have vpc but not 311 so I can't test that. Seems like the box claims full native support.

C:Windows is usually the default path for the Windows XP install.Do you have any other drives available? You could try using WIN311Rule #1 Good computers don't go down.Rule #2 There is no such thing as a good computer.

ive have two solutions

either 1:
you need a partition created

insert you ms-dos disk if you dont have one then go on http://www.bootdisk.com boot dos up and type fdisk. then press 1 to create a dos partition. press y and hit enter and it should make a partition. exit fdisk and restart you computer. if you did all this sucsessfully then read on to my second solution

2 you need to format your partition.
start ms-dos and type format C:\ and format your partition
then insert the windows windows setup floppy/CD and type setup. then follow the instruction
