USB Modem ProblemConfiguration:
Can anyone help me? My Speedtouch 330 ADSL modem never connects first time, always on the second attempt. I've reinstalled the modem and driver, there are no problems shown in device manager. Is it a registry setting error, in which case is there any hope of a solution short of wiping the hard disk and reinstalling Windows? I hope someone can help here! Operating System : Windows XP

USB Modems are troublesome, usually due to lack of current, USB only supplies 5V 500ma. Buy an external RJ45 Modem or Modem/Router as these are mains powered.

XP won't install USB modem in Motorola phone. Gives error message that can't install stable subkey under volatile parent key
