| Sumvision mp3 player file problem! | Configuration: |
|
I have shared the expense of this 1gb mp3 player with my daughter and overall it is a great little gadget for it's money. We have created a file each in which to separate the songs we want individually. When it is connected to the computer, the files are there with our respective songs in each file. The problem is, that once I disconnect the player from the computer and open our file on the device, the files seem to have been thrown anywhere - some of my songs are in my daughters folder, some of hers in mine, and some are in both, altho we do choose to have a few in both of them, but it isn't always the ones we have chosen! Then when the device is connected to the computer once more, everything is where it should be!Has anyone else encountered this problem please or have any suggestions?

Sumvision mp3 player file problem! by chaft2 on August 21st, 2005 03:54:27 AM looking at the sumvision webpage it says the product uses it's own software for disk partitioning and encrypting.therefore...You must use their software to set up the 1gb space and create the folders or partitions with their own program. do not use xp formattingmy hunch is use partitions not folders to separate stuff :)hope this works! |
Sumvision mp3 player file problem! by chaft2 on August 21st, 2005 03:51:11 AM ok first thing is..are the files all mp3 or multiple formats?secondly is it ordering them according to name? size? my only guess is that the mp3 player is ordering them by some default unknown to you. It is an odd complaint yr having..*scratches head* How can a file jump folder?maybe the folders can only be soo big, so if yr folder is too big maybe it's spreading the size....but this is odd too....learn the rule 'never buy Sumvision again' :) |
