| cant rename a folder | Configuration: |
simply, coppied some folders from a cd and now i am trying to either delete it or rename it. Windows XP comes up with it is being used by another program. tried renaming it by dos prompt same problem. any advice? if its not working hit it with a very large hammer!

Re: cant rename a folder by _hank3 on April 14th, 2004 03:43:12 PM When you copy files from a CD, they're automatically set as "Read only". Try unchecking the "Read only" attribute.

Re: cant rename a folder by Anonymous Ghost on January 28th, 2005 04:04:35 PM Try creating a new user in user accounts, then log on using that user. Make what ever changes you want then!
Enen though some icons are gone, all programs are still in place, so simply remake shortcuts. ( dont forget to give your new user administrative privilages )
