| IE Supervisor password problem | Configuration: |
I took my PC into work for a few months while we were having renovations at home. One of the techie people set a supervisor password on internet explorer and now my PC is back home I can't even log onto my bank account. The techie that did this has now left the company and no one seems to know what the password is. Other than re-format the disk and re-load windows (which I'd hate to do!!!) can anyone tell me how to reset the password?

Re: IE Supervisor password problem by othehi on April 15th, 2004 02:03:24 AM I'm not familiar with passwords on IE but you should be able to uninstall IE or maybe even a repair would do. At any rate I don't think a reformat is necessary. If however what you have is a Win2000 Administrator logon password then you have problems. If only a lesser user than administrator you can logon as administrator and change other accounts from there.
