load=load=load & startup problemsConfiguration:
Having a few problems - Grateful for any help received. When I log on, I first get a message called 'load=load=load',which says it cannot load the file and to make sure the path and filename are correct & that all required libraries are available. When I click ok, i get another warning entitled Desktop, telling me that it cannot load or run the 'load=load=load=' specified in the registry & tells me to make sure it exists or remove it. Then Another box appears called File Error, and says cannot find SETUPX.DLL,and another Entitled Application Error saying "PTSNOOP caused a General Protection Fault in module PTSNOOP.EXE at 0001:0B19. Choose close. PTSNOOP will close", and yet another File Error saying Cannot Find SETUPX.DLL, which appears a few times. Then While browsing the net,i get a message coming up entitled svchost.exe - Application Error. It says "The instruction at "0x77fcb2b9" referenced memory at "0x89abcdef". The memory could not be "written". Click on OK to terminate the program" After this, when I double click on anything in my taskbar (e.g clock or Time Online) they will not open nor will new web pages. Sorry for the length, but its really irritating! Thanks

have you considered reloading the OS from scratch like with a new format?
Sounds like your registry is hosed big time. Is this after virus/spyware/malware removal?
If so consider reloading your OS.

you can also try running the "sfc /scannow" command from the run prompt

I have a similar problem.
I just dumped and reloaded a Compaq Presario 7360 system with Windows XP, turns out during that process, I had a lot of trouble with getting the modem to work. So I loaded a "Softpaq" from Compaq's site. But that was for Win98, shortly after doing that brilliant thing I got the "Load=Load=" error on system start up. Well I fixed it like this.

1. Go into Start Menu
2. Choose Help&Support
3. Choose Use Tools to view your computer informationa and diagnose problems.
4. Open System Configuration Utility
5. Click on "Startup" Tab
6. Uncheck box next to "Load=Load=" error, & Save.
7. Test by restarting.

If you don't see the "Load=Load=" there, then I am sorry I cannot help you. That is how I fixed my problem. Hope this helps any who see it.
