Seems you have some Spyware installed on your system.

i couldent find hijack anywhere, but i did find bullet proof anti spy/adware and it seemed to do the trick.

goto c:\WinNT\system32\drivers\etc\system\su\ and delte the files dll32.exe and firedameon from the folder. first you gotta kill the process dll32.exe before you delete though... Automatically solved the problem for me and I dont see the error anymore |

Are you all stupid, read his reply. First of all follow the REAL steps to get rid of this ERROR.
1.Control Panel
2.Administrative Tools
3.Dubble Click Services
4.Scroll Down to Firedaemon Services
5.Disable them all

firedaemon.exe - try this. run msconfig. select 'services' tab. look for firedaemon.exe. unclick it. and go. you might heve to restart your computer. all the 'experts' at microsoft sent me on 20 wild goose chases before a friend showed me this. |

I have windows XP and during the start up, my desktop appears with all the icons and suddenly the "send report" and "dont send" window pops up stating difficulty starting FireDaemon.exe. Can someone help me please. Josh |

Hey guys... I have/had the same problem. I did the disabled all the firedaemon.exe values in the services and that fixed the error showing at startup. But, what i'm concerned about is that i have read that firedaemon.exe and the Backdoor.NTHack trojan run together. My friend installed crap on my comp and my PCCillin detected a virus. I deleted the virus files (as recommended by trend micro), i'm wondering if it didn't detect the trojan. The trojan steals passwords. =(
Would pccillin detect the trojan? because its not in their database, but it is in symantecs.
Any suggestions? Should I worry? |

Run Regedit and do a search for 'firedaemon.exe'. Delete all keys (aka folders) that are named 'iroffer' or 'securent'. Then do a search for 'firedaemon.exe' on your C drive. It should come up as a file in c:\windows\system32\sperm . Delete that directory andyou should be fine. |
