| Norton Anti-virus 2004 | Configuration: |
Hey guys. I have a new pc brought bout October. I installed Norton and everthing was fine including games on a shared memory 64MB graphics card. I then find that a few applications dont work including Windows Media Player and Notron.
I get Ad-Aware and find a few bugs. I had to reinstall WMP, and Norton. I got to Norton, and i cant uninstall it as I need a admin user account to do so. I cant open it because i have a feeling that the bug deleted driver files from it, as it says that driver instilisation failed when opening it.
This isn't really a problem, it is just that now very few games work. I got a GeForce 4 128MB graphics card, and still many games dont work such as XIII and Age of Mythology.
I have a 2700MHz Athlon, 120GB HD and 512MB RAM. Windows XP
I have a feeling that because Norton is down, it has some kind of firewall open stopping useage of some OpenGL files or Direct X.
I have the most up to date drivers of everything..
Please Help!

Re: Norton Anti-virus 2004 by Anonymous Ghost on July 26th, 2004 09:38:14 AM Norton Antivirus worked fine until I installed Windows XP, I find that after Norton Antivirus runs its daily scan of my computer I am unable to receive emails.
I uninstall Norton, emails come in fine. I reinstall Norton emails come in fine, until the scan is run. I opened Norton to see if I could locate the problem and I find that mail is highlighted in red and the ERROR message is beaming in red as well.
Does anyone know of a fix for this? |
