| Video Controller (VGA Compatible) | Configuration: |
|
yesterday i updated my PC to Windows XP Home edition. When i go to device manager, there's a Yellow question mark next to "other devices" and under it it says "Video Controller VGA Compatible". none of my disks seem to have this driver. I dont know what it is or how to update it.What can i do?Also, now that i have installed XP Home ed, when i go on the internet, and scroll down, the page flickers, rather than scrolling down fast and sharp. what could be wrong? thank you!

Video Controller (VGA Compatible) by petitjean4 on April 18th, 2006 04:28:14 PM Find the video card model with a program like AIDA32, Belarc Advisor etc.that gives details on all hardware present on the computer.Look for the drivers program from a source like DriverGuide.Delete the lines with the exclamation marks in the System Properties, setup the drivers program and reboot the computer.Set the resolution to the level you prefer. If the drivers are not available(some older PCI based video cards drivers were not updated to XP technology)you will have to revert back to the previous operating systerm to get the right resolution.Good luck. |
