Taskbar Not RespondingConfiguration:
My windows xp startbar/taskbar is not responding to any actions. I can try to ckick it with the mouse although it wont pull anything up. I have to do everything through my icons. Any help would be appreciated... Operating System : Microsoft Windows XP/2000/NT

If you have a Windows XP CD you can Repair the boot and menu with it. Boot with it and several screens into Setup a Repair option will be displayed. It will not affect the other settings and applications, which you installed.

i have the same problem, except the recovery console doesn't help

When I try and shut my pc down it comes up with Taskbar Window not responding and wont shutdown until I click end now. There are 4 errors in my system log of AMLI:ACPI BIOS is attempting to read/write to illegal I/O addresses. Can anyone help
