Can't delete a file, plus slow downConfiguration:
I have this movie I downloaded off from DC++ and it was a fake share for I was downloading at 2.5MBps and I only have 1.5mbps connection so I knew at once. So after I tried playing the file seeing if indeed it was a fake share. But my computer got really slow and then just froze. So now when I attempt to delete the file. It freezes up and like 5-10mins later it displays a message cannot delete this file. Then freezes and I must reboot. I cannot even touch the file or it freezes. Is there a way I can delete this file permanately and easily? Without a slowdow... or freezing? Operating System : Microsoft Windows XP/2000/NT

Try using the DEL command in DOS.

DEL

use
DEL /?

To go to dos. Click start then run. type cmd and press enter.

Good Idea. Go to dos and find the offending program . Type del program name You will most liely need to change to the root. So, type C: thenpress enter. Next do as above type del progam name and the hit enter. Note "program name" is a place holder for the file name you nee to type in. This method has worked for me before. Finally run a good antivirus program.
