Power Profile/Scheme Options are goneConfiguration:
n one of my user account in Windows XP (the main account), I've lost the ability to switch power profiles. When I go into the power scheme menu, where there is usually a dialog box that would show options such as "Max Battery Life" or "PowerSchemeSuit" there is now nothing. And the option below that would normally allow me to change options such as when to go to standby and when to shut the screen off are all greyed out and inaccessible.

Does anyone know what would cause this and how to fix it? If I go to another user account the options are still there so I'm assuming its some type of registry problem just for this account. I've tried to go into the Powercfg registry and change the current power scheme by number value, but that doesn't seem to do the trick.

Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

BTW its a Sony Vaio Laptop with XP
