Re: Cant Start computer by mom8times on May 11th, 2004 04:45:44 AM THIS IS WHAT MINE JUST DID TODAY!! And I can't get past the HP Invent screen. I tried to run set up or recovery, safe mode...., something, ...ANYTHING and I can't get to it. How would you enter bios from the blue screen? I'm lost! |
Re: Cant Start computer by mom8times on May 13th, 2004 04:05:58 AM a friend who knows computers came over, and opened up my computer, took out the battery, left it out for 5 minutes. She then put it back in, went into bios settings, she said and put the correct date and time in and then put "default" for everything else. And it worked!! At least until I had to turn it off again. At least I was able to save all the digital baby pictures on the hard drive that were irreplaceable. |
Cant Start computer!! pls ne one help!! :( by swiftboy36 on August 21st, 2004 06:48:40 PM Hi,
this problem happened on my computer about 3 days ago and , i cant seem to even put the system restore disk in. the disk trays will open if i press the buttons but the sysytem restore disks wont start. when i reboot or even start up my computer it just stays at a blank screen and my monitor will go into hibernate mode ? i dont even see the stats of the computer when i and starting up the computer. no windows xp logo sign or any thing. i have tryed every thing and i cant seem to even get a picture up on my monitor.... also i can hear the computer working. but the busy (red light) will never go off. i have left the computer on for the longest a day thinking that maybe it is a slow start up problem. and after 3 days i finally got tired of thinking so im coming to you people hopeing that you can give me some helpful advice.
thanks,
Alex |
Re: Cant Start computer by anna on September 06th, 2004 12:18:29 PM Any suggestions? Could I I always use Stand-By mode to turn off it? Will that damage it in a long run? How could I fix it? |
