| restoring rpc call service under win 2000 pro | Configuration: |
Hi there,
caused by an error of me, i have disabled the rpc call service under win2000, now i can\'t use internet connection, internal windows search engine and some other feature is not available.
I\'ve tryied to restore the rpc service, but it\'s not possibile to do and i can\'t gain access to the service properties.
Do You know something about my problem and how to solve it?

Boot into safe mode and install this registry patch. It will place RPC service back into automatic. After applying the registry fix, you should be able to boot normally and have all dependent services running normally.
How to install the patch given above: download and double click the zip file. double click the file inside by the name RecRepair.reg . A warning will be shown, click OK or Yes. Now reboot the system :) |

i have the same problem with rpc. I can't be able to download rpcrepair. Authentication is required. What username and password do I need? |

Hi,
Do this:-
Goto Start> Run.
Type:-
services.msc
Press Enter.
Find "Remote Procedure Call (RPC)". Double click.
In startup type, select 'Automatic'
Click on 'Recovery' Tab.
For each of 'First Failure', 'Second Failure' and 'Subsequent Failures' select 'Take No Action'. Click OK.
Find "Remote Procedure Call (RPC) Locator"
Double click.
In startup type, select 'Automatic'
Click on 'Recovery' Tab.
For each of 'First Failure', 'Second Failure' and 'Subsequent Failures' select 'Take No Action'. Click OK.
Thats it. You are done. |
