CDR101: Not Ready Reading DConfiguration:
I am getting this message (CDR101:Not Ready Reading D ) after formatting my C: drive. I have been able to install DOS and Win 3.1 using a floppy but the system did not see the D drive. I used CyberDrive\'s file cyb212.exe to modify my config.sys and autoexec.bat. Now it shows I have a drive D but I can\'t get to it no matter what I type or what CD I use. When I start the computer the light flashes on the CD ROM so I am guessing it is physically OK. I am a novice. Can anyone help?

Additional Comments:
I have Windows 98 on a CD but can\'t install becaue I can\'t get to the D: drive. This is an old computer and I am fixing it up for a student.
Operating System : Microsoft Windows 3.1
CPU/Processor : Intel Pentium II
Hard Disk : Western Digital, RPM:233
CD Drive : CyberDrive 220SD
Additional Comments : Bios 1.0

When booting, does the system/bios detect the cd drive, and show its model number etc?
If no, the cd drive aint working properly.
if yes, try putting the windows disk into the cd drive and boot the computer. the setup should start automatically if cd drive is set as a boot device before the harddisk :)

Before formatting I checked device settings. The CDROM read IDE CD-ROM Ty200SD. On boot up it shows TY200D. On the physical CD it shows CyberDriver SD200. My Windows CD is old. I don't know if it has autostart on it. If I can make my drive A: the start drive do you think the disk will work?

Windows 98 setup disk is a bootable CD, so you should be able to boot using the windows 98 cd.

thanks.
