monitor auto power off option by keve on September 01st, 2002 12:51:48 PM
Hi. This is several months after your post, so you've probably resolved this problem by now. But, I had the same problem myself a while back, and adding the following key to the Registry solved the problem for me:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRun]
"LoadPowerProfile"="Rundll32.exe powrprof.dll,LoadCurrentPwrScheme"
Color Red has disappeared from my screen and my settings. by Anonymous Ghost on October 27th, 2002 04:40:34 PM
I have a C70 Cybervision monitor, but I'm not even sure if this is a monitor problem. Today I had some flashing on the screen and later and ever since I have not been able to see any red color. Anytbing that was once red is now black. I've adjusted everything I can imagine but to no avail.

Does anyone know why this could be happening? And what I might do?

Thank you very much for your help.

Monitor can't see red by Anonymous Ghost on November 09th, 2002 04:07:33 PM
I don't think that it is a problem with the graphics card in your computer unless it is a software problem. Have you tried to change any settings? But it soes sound to me that the monitor may have malfunctioned. The monitors that are made these days do not last as long as they use too. Try a different monitor if you can and see if the problem continues. Also chage the resolution and other just to see if anything changes. Changing setting like i just said probably won't work but with computers ou never know. Hope this helps.
Oh about the monitor power can not turn off by Anonymous Ghost on November 09th, 2002 04:10:33 PM
I had the same problem but in windows 2000. (The monitor shut off thing) I just used a older driver and i was lucky to have the opengl and detenator support included. The same thing can be done with windows xp. I was using the GEFORCE 2mx 200 AGP (32mb) version made by power color. Anywho just some info for a future finder! ;)

Monitor by Anonymous Ghost on February 18th, 2003 06:52:48 PM
About the red screen problem. I'm going through the same thing at the moment. i've found that hitting the monitor with a hammer gently of course helps for a few hours and then it returns back to the red screen again. Its actually related to the refresh rate of the monitor. Some operating systems will attempt to set the refresh rate higher than is allowed on the monitor, e.g winXP does this and that can trigger it off.

For Problems w/Samtron 77v *FIX* by Anonymous Ghost on August 26th, 2003 09:17:12 PM
If you cannot get a screen to start with boot into safe mode by holding shift while booting. If you still don't get a screen then your monitor is fried. Then go to display properties in control panel, click on the settings tab, the click advanced, then click either in adapter or monitor depending on your operating system,you will find "refresh rate", change it to 60 hertz. If it already is you can verify it on your monitor in the menu. If it still doesn't work check to see if it's under warrantee it needs to be replaced, because all monitors work at 60 Hertz.

Re:Missing colour scheme by Anonymous Ghost on March 18th, 2004 06:27:31 PM
My computer was switched off for a few days and when I started up again my colours had changed and disappeared. My red has gone and in its place a bright orange accompanied by a very bright bluish colour. I have no yellows. All my folders are orange. My arrow is a pink colour. What is happening. I am using a Dell Dimension 4300 which I purchased in October 2001. Can anyone throw some light on this issue for me, please.
