| Secondary hard drive not listed under"Hard Disk Drives" | Configuration: |

I recently installed a secondary hard drive to be used as storage for backups. However, the slave or backup hard drive doesn't show up when I open "My Computer" and look under "Hard Disk Drives". I'm told that I need to format the drive first in order to be able to run the Ghost backup program. So the question is: what is needed to make this drive show up under "Hard Disk Drives", so that I can then right click it and then click format?

CPU/Processor : Pentium 4 1600 MHz
RAM : Actual:256 MB
Hard Disk : , Space: 40 GB, RPM:7200

My problem is that there r 4 Partition in my PC.but today my computer is showing only one Drive which is "C" whereas other 3 three r not showing me.
moreover my PC is on Network ( LAN ) OS is Xp .so what is this problem can any body tell me or can u slove my problems
other wise my all data will be lose.
