New motherboard/CPU causing startup issues?Configuration:
Just installed a new ASRock motherboard with an AMD 64 3700+ CPU and a new Evga 6800 OC PCI-E video card. Replaced an ASRock motherboard w/ an Intel Celeron D CPU and an Evga 6600 AGP video card. It goes thru the boot process but before it gets to the "Microsoft XP" display, a message appears that due to hardware change/software change/power loss/etc. Windows did not shut down properly. Please select from Safe Mode/Safe Mode with Networking/Safe Mode with Command Prompt/Last Known Working Session/Regular Windows. No matter which option I choose, the computer reboots and the same message appears. I have disconnected all of my extra hard drives and peripherals that I can and the message still appears. Can someone tell me what may need adjusting Operating System : Microsoft Windows XP Home
