HOME NETWORK PROBLEM-PLS HELP!Configuration:
Created a network between desktop and laptop, however, the desktop is not allowed access to the network or to view the laptop. The laptop is able to view the desktop. What changes/updates do I need to make to the laptop to allow access to the network from the desktop? When I search for the laptop on the desktop, it shows up but does not allow access. Please help! Operating System : Mircrosoft Windows XP Media Cener

Well either file sharing is disabled or is available to only specific users.

Enable file sharing properties properly and it should be fine..
