| Disk Defragmenter not working | Configuration: |

When I run my disk defragmenter, and "show details" it is only a white screen, without the colored boxes for files. It shows 1% complete but never does anything else. I know what to do with slow defrag but the white screen is definitely something wrong. What do I do?

try leaving it for a few hours as it is with/without click the 'show details' button and see if the defrag is happening. |

My machine similar, later model with more power, RAM. Hanging problems; reinstalled Windows first time, downloaded and ran Golden Bow Systems VoptXP the 2nd time. Now works fine. My sympathies! |

There are no details, and it keeps starting over at 4% |
