Scan DiskConfiguration:
I can't use scan disk it trys 10 times and then says something is running in the background, but I can't find out what Operating System : Microsoft Windows ME
Additional Comments : I can't run scan disk or repair any errors. System trys 10 times and then says something is running in the background, but I can't find out what this is>

Simplest solution is to boot in 'Safe Mode' and run 'scan disk'. In safe mode no extra programs will be loaded and hence you will not experience any problems.

Another good program which closes all but needed programs before you scan is "End It All".
