installation of windows 98 on new laptopConfiguration:
I am already running Windows 98 (it came preinstalled) on my PC and have just bought a laptop which has nothing on what so ever. I know nothing about PC\'s hence my stupidity at buying this. Is there anyway i can copy my Windows onto a disc PC has cdrw and then install onto laptop. All that is flashing when turn on is c:\\ Can you tell me if this is possible and how to do it if it is. My friend told me to use my back up recovery disc but this is not being read at all.

Additional Comments:
Please advise if not possible as well and then will have to buy the disc again. If it is could you use very simple language to explain- thanks

it will be illegal to use to use Windows 98 on two places since you will have a single user license.

You would have a legitimate copy of Windows98 from the the first PC. You can use that to install windows on the 2nd PC/laptop.

It will we ok with the licensing if you plan not to use the first PC, else you will be violating the licensing terms.
