How do install oralcle 8i on winxp and also connect it with form 6i?

I am facing problem in installing oracle 8.1.7 in windows 2000 on P IV machine. Installation does not work at all. I have some form build on Developer 6i. this can connect my database stored in oracle 9i but form does not work from client machine.
I have export this database from my previous 8.1.7 to new oracle 9i machine running on solaris. please help me in solving the problem of installing oracle 8.1.7 in P IV machine and connectivity of 6i with that.
