If you are using ArGoSoft SMTP server, your outgoing mailserver will be "localhost".
What error does Outlook Express give when to try to retireve mails thru POP3. If it gives Invalid password, then recheck your username and password. Note in some ISP/webhosts one is required to give full email as username, i.e:
Username: anon@testing.com
instead of
anon. |

I have MS Office 2000 and I need to import data from access to outlook. Outlook will not allow me to map fields I created in Outlook.
This is what I mean. I create fields in Access that are not in Outlook. I then create the same fields in Outlook. I then import into outlook. I am asked to map the fields after choosing application source. I cannot map the fields I want. In Outlook, I do not even see the fields I created. Please help. I use a dial up access at home for my ISP and have no problems sending or receivng email with outlook express at home. Recently at my office the following was installed for fast access:
Realtek RTL8139/810X Family PCI Fast Ethernet NIC
Since then I can receive email with outlook express but can not send mail. I get the error message that says my current IP address is not allowed to relay to ..(wherever I send). Solution: Connect using Bellouth Internet Service, Port 25, Secure (SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

Might try going to Tools>Options
click on the security tab and if
"Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that may potentially be a virus" is checked clear it out.

Cannot send/receive email or access internet. It states unable to connect.
It dials up but displays error codes of: 0x800ccc0f and 0x800ccc0E.
Plese note recently upgraded to Norton Virus 2002. I have been advised to try disabling email incoming/outing option protection,with auto protect still working. Still experiencing the same problem. Can anyone help.

For those of you who have trouble with there attachments not opening up .
goto your outlook express and look under , Tools ,options,Security,there is a box in there that says " do not allow attachments to be opened or saved on this computer . make sure the box is unchecked .. Hope this helps . |

My ISP is roadrunner and my e-mail accounts that are on my Outlook Express 6 are all working great. I have one other account on there which is my newsgroups from the college that I attend. When I first added the newsgroups back in August it worked, but recently I have been having problems with it. When I click on one of my newsgroups it says authorizing, but then it doesn't do anything after that and I just press ctrl+alt+delete to close the window. I called the TechSupport for my school but they said that I have to disable my AntiVirus/Firewall, I did that I even deleted it and it's still not working. My OS is Win98 SE, any suggestions???? |

Use the Mail icon in the control panel and delete all email accounts. then uninstall Outlook.
now install it again and create your accounts :) |

I only have one message through my inbox whereas I ie a Month ago I could view so much mail in the mail box. How do you set this particular account of Outlook express. Let's say my isp is bob and he says that i should use pop.bob.co.uk, do I have to write the same. way or I would: bob.co.uk. And the Smtp is similar. |

i can tell you that there is more than one ISP with this problem... it seems to be within M$'s code... that seems to be the common thread in all the sites that i have visited

you will be amazed as to how many places there are that are having this same problem [myself included]
roumor has it that M$ is supposed to release a patch fix for this in april. |

Then i get an email notification to say i've received email, but i want outlook to notify me automatically when i've receive email, rather than to go thru all that. please email me at eyarun@supanet.com with any resolution..thanks |

I get e-mails but can't get forwards unless I forward them & then click on them. Also I can't click on links or hyperlinks. I have to copy & paste to browser to get them. Things from you I can't get at all or from H.P. I have earthlink as my server. I have an H.P. pavilion 98 2nd ed. windows. I've ask other techs but no one can fix it. Thanks. My outlook express freezes. nothing there but a hour glass. outlook express 6 help. I tried to reinstall it but it won't let me. reinstalled Internet Exployer also but that won't work either
how can I get my email from there

Yahoo doesn't allow you to download yahoo mail to outlook express freely. It's a paid service. If you really want to do it, there is an alternative. It is called YahooPOPs |
