recently i have added and removed 4-5 softwares...
Only outlook freezes... PC continues to work...
But i am using a multiple desktop s/w... And when outlook hangs, I can't access other desktops during this time... I can access anything in current desktop. |

Have you tried to create a new outlook profile and checked in that..
Have you also tried to disable anti-virus and firewall before opening outlook to see what happens? |

does Internet Explorer ever crash on you? Do you use Windows Messenger or MSN Messenger by any chance? If not, try going into the Outlook preferences and disable the option to "Enable Instant Messaging with Microsoft Outlook" or something of that sort. I have had problems with that in the past making Outlook hang. |

Last time I got this experience. I disabled anti-virus program to scan outlook. It got solved. |

I tried creating new pst. But doesn't help much.
Also I tried opening outlook w/o giving password for pst. Hence, outlook was showing only mails from server. with server mails only, I faced the same problem. So does it mean that there is no problem with pst ?
I dont have a firewall. I will check disabling antivirus. |

IE doesn't crash for me. I use firefox.
I use windows messenger. But this option is disabled in preferences. |
