I disabled Norton Antivirus 2003 for the outgoing mail scan and also updated the norton patch, then I got a different message:The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'pop.ehost.com', Server: 'smtp.ehost.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E
I can send and receive mail from aol and my online web mail for this pop acct. I just cannot send mail from outlook. The day before I was recieving two and three copies of the same message in the inbox. I also compacted the local folders- I have about 100 messages in the sent and in boxes.
