| Can\'t Receive Email with MS Outlook | Configuration: |

I have been using Outlook and SBC/Yahoo DSL for years and several weeks ago it stopped being able to receive email. It can send w/o a problem. I have spent countless frustrating hours on the phone with SBC, deleting and reinstalling all of the email parameters, disabling firewalls, etc. Finally they became convinced that it was their email server problem and my case was escalated for correction. It was supposed to take 24 hours to solve it. It has been four days and they still have not fixed it. I have talked to our IT people, at work, I have tried the Mozillia email client - same problem - I have tried my work Outlook setup for my SBC account - same thing. Is there any one out there experiencing the same problem? Oh, I forgot to mention. I can get my email by going to the SBC/Yahoo browser email page using the same email address and password that gets rejected when Outlook or Mozillia sends it. Very confusing!

Thanks for the feedback as my problem still has not been resolved, by SBC, in over a month, however, I'm not sure of what you are suggesting is the root cause? SBC "says" that they have their email experts working on it yet no results! |
