Oracle with VB very slowConfiguration:
I have an app developed in VB6 with Oracle 8i at the back end. When I run SQL queries using ODBC connection on VB forms, the response time is high so that the program appears very slow to respond to user requests. This is true for queries like INSERT, UPDATE or even SELECT statement.I am using ODBC connection with connect string as "Provider= MSDAORA.1;user=scott;Persist Security Info = False" Operating System : Windows XP
CPU/Processor : Intel PII 350 MHz
RAM : Hyundai Actual:128 MB
Motherboard : Intel BX2
Hard Disk : Seagate, Space: 40 GB, RPM:5200
