| installation of oracle forms 6i on client 9i on XP | Configuration: |

can i use oracle 9i for oracle forms 6i, i am having problems installing 6i in my system. it says that 'the location specified, "C:\orant\", is already used as an Oracle home for 'Oracle 82 Beta'. It Cannot be used as an Oracle home for 'nt'.
| Operating System : Microsoft Windows XP
CPU/Processor : Intel Pentium IV 2.6 MHz
RAM : COMPAQ EVO Actual:256 MB

When i trys to connect to the database of 9i with forms 6i i am propted for the internet connection as the database is on my local machine and i am not able to connect to database |

You have to install 6i first if 9i runs on the same pc. See getting started 6i manual. |

i have installed forms 6i ,oracle 9i on win 2000 professional.i can connect to the database (that is on server )from sql,but i cant connect to the database from forms it gives error as

Hi,
1) When i tried to install forms6i on XP pro i got an error msg:
"orainst.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
Will any one help me to solve this problem and then what needs to be done to resolve it.
