As far as I can see I have configured Security.ini and config.ini correctly but at the clients it gives me a \"Page cannot be displayed\" error. sometimes the page does appear in sambar with a 500 error which is something internal was not configured right, but other times it doesnt display anything and goes straight to the error. can anyone help me?

In Internet Explorer. Click Tools > Internet Options > Connections Tab > LAN Settings button.
In the dialog that opens, check the checkbox 'Use a proxy server' and give the address and port number of your proxy server.
Hope this helps.

Microsoft Internet Explorer

Open the Microsoft Internet Explorer Web Browser.

Open the Tools menu.

Select the Internet Options menu item.

Click on the Connections tab.

Click on the Lan Settings button.

Select Connect through a proxy server.

Click on the Settings button.

Type the following settings in the Servers section:

HTTP: Port: 80

Leave all other field blank.

Click the OK button to close the Proxy Settings dialog box.

Click the OK button to close the Options dialog box.

Note: With version 6.0 beta 5 and later releases, it is recommended you select the "Advanced" tab and check "Use HTTP/1.1 thru Proxy Connections".

Lastly, if your clients are using the Sambar Proxy Server as well as the Sambar HTTP Server, they must configure the No Proxy for: field of their browser to the Sambar HTTP Server, port 80. For Internet Explorer, the "bypass proxy servre for local internet addresses" should be turned on.

I have done this I set up explorer and tried both the name of the PC and its IP address through port 80 and it still will not work the strange thing is the page asked for appears in the sambar window but at the client it just returns a Page cannot be displayed error.
