| can't log on windows with external drive | Configuration: |

My PC motherboard went belly up. I put the hard drive into an external drive so I could access from my lap top. Problem seems to be my harddrive was password encoded on the old PC so now I can't access it from the laptop. Have tried setting up the same user name and password on the laptop, but no go. Thanks for any help.

are you trying to boot with the external drive..?
try connecting the external drive after the laptop has booted, logged on... |
