Toshiba Laptop will NOT turn on!Configuration:
I have a Toshiba laptop:

Satellite p/n: PS140U-027XFX
1405-S151
XP Home
Celeron 2.2 GHz
512MB RAM

Here's my problem......I cannot get the unit to turn on! When I push power button, light on the front-(power indicator), indicates the power is on, but nothing. When I connect the unit to AC-(wall), 2 indicator lights-(AC & Battery charging), are on......hit the power switch, still nothing! I checked the CD/DVD ROM to make sure no disc was inside-nope.......not sure what to do?!?!?!?
Any ideas? This has me completely baffled.....any and ALL help would be greatly appreciated....thanks & GOD bless.....

well it seems you acpi is not working properly/ some part like a capacitor has become non-functional.
take it to the hardware guy and he should be able to replace the non-functional part.
