monitor displayConfiguration:
The display on my Dell Latitude is not occupying the entire screen although it is maximized. This happened after we installed DSL. How can I correct this? I can not find anything in my computer or buttons on the machine itself to change it. Thanks, Jean Operating System : microsoft windows 2000 7.1

there should a key with text written in blue 'Fn', keep it pressed.
see all the blue symbols on the keyboard, you should be able to find those you want, if not try changing the system resolution to a higher/lower resolution, it mostly works.

As to anonymous ghost's suggestions: I tried the fn crt/lcd buttons and this only allows me to make the displayed area smaller, not larger. As to changing the resolution, do you mean the number of pixels? If so, I have already tried that, to no effect. Thanks for the suggestions, though. Any other thoughts?
