zv6000 Keyboad and touchpad stop workingConfiguration:
Hello! My zv6000 notebook is not even a month old. My problem is that once in a while, the keyboard and touchpad will stop responding. the wireless keyboard and mouse(usb wireless) I have still work, but the touchpad and keyboard ON the notebook, stop responding. I already tried reinstalling the drivers, and that did not help. Now HP wants me to send in my computer, but it takes 5-7 buisness days, and I need the computer for college on the 25th of this month. Should I just race against time on this one and send it in and PRAY it gets here in time, or is there something else I should do? Operating System : Windows XP Pro
CPU/Processor : AM Athlon
RAM : Hewlett-packard Actual:1024 MB Max:2058 MB
Hard Disk : , Space: 100 GB
Monitor : 15.4"
Video Card : AT Radeon
Video RAM : 128 MB

well if the wireless keyboard and mouse are connected/available while booting the laptop, then this problem may occur.

solution: either make sure the wireless keyboard/mouse get connected only after the machine has booted.

or

use only one of them, but not both simultaenously.

i.e: if u wish u use touchpad/buildin kyd, make sure the wireless kbd and mouse were not around when booting and while working.

or use only wireless devices and forget those in the laptop.

you can switch between these stratagies anytime, but remember about the condition abt the devices being available/not available while booting.. :)
