It is quite possible that while closing you did not close the keyboard properly and keys are not being able to make contact. So try to close it again but carefully. Also make sure that you did not damage any wire in there.
Keyboard problems by Anonymous Ghost on December 27th, 2002 01:04:03 PM
Hi

I have a peculiar problem on my personal computer.

I had problems with the Virusscan program and the helpdesk at Mcafee was assisting me.
After 6 attempts, the virusscan application now works but my keybpoard has started playing up.

Now several keys do not work. When I contacted McAfee they said that since Virusscan now works, they cannotsolve the problem.

Any tips on how to solve this keyboard problem?

VIRUSCAN & XP by Anonymous Ghost on February 26th, 2003 03:30:27 AM
I am running Windows XP home edition & a UK boxed Virus scan version 6.02.3000. Everything has been ok until I downloaded DAT 4227.
Since then when turning my PC on the Viruscan appears as a white oblong which stays on the screen until I click on the Vshield icon and select Run. After approx 10 - 15 minutes Viruscan appears to load OK
I have cleared my Internet cache and hard drive of all possible files but this has made no difference.
I have exchanged many e-mails with McAfee support ( Why should I pay to phone them to sort out their error ) and have been given 3 solutions, each of which they are " sure will solve the problem "
install naifltr.inf
Ensure McShield Startup type is set to Automatic
Install avsynmgr.exe into startup
It seems that McAfee are unable to solve this problem.
Can anyone help ?????

strange problem with keyboard by Anonymous Ghost on March 20th, 2003 05:08:05 AM
I have a Kinetiz7E mainboard and I have experienced some problems with the Keyboard and the mouse. Everything works fine in win 98 and XP but typing in DOS mode is a nightmare. The NumLock, CapsLock and ScrollLock leds are flashing all the time and I need to keep a key pressed for 2-5 secs to be recognized. The mouse is jumping around the screen any time I try to move it. This is really annoying anytime I try to restore my system using either NortonGhost or formating the HDD. I suspect problem with the PS ports but as I said, in Windows I have no problem at all.
Any ideas?

Keyboard//Computer problems by aardcore on April 01st, 2003 07:26:35 AM
it's the weirdest thing I've ever seen, I mean, as I type I'm experiencing the problem right now. For about 2 months now the problem's been that whenever I use the keyboard, my computer makes this 'blip' sound and it either skips the letter I type, adds another letter I DON'T want, or doesn't even put a letter in... the longer I type, and the MORE I type, the more it continues to go 'blip, blip, blip' and then I can't even type anymore. For example, when I was writing this, I have to carefully watch it because some of my words will get all jumbled... check this out, I'm gonna type normally, without having to revise my words... -okay I'm tryying to type as best as I can rigt now but ut fo sometrangereason its doing this blipping soundriht now- now that's what I'm talking about, I type in trying and it adds another y, I type in some strange reason and it put in sometrangereason, I type in sound right and it put the words together and input soundriht. Also, on occasion, and I mean, ON OCCASION, when I press the shift button just for a quick caps, it'll make it act like a CAPS LOCK and I have to press the shift buton again just to put it back into lower case. Now as I said before, the longer I do this, the more it gets worse... what the heck is going on?

I cant get sound out of my speakers by Anonymous Ghost on July 24th, 2003 05:00:38 PM
I recently bought a new pc. Everything works well except for the sound. I know for a fact that they are plugged in properly. And in the sound menu, in the control panel, it says all of my sound devices are all there and working properly. I went through windows troubleshooting, but still the sound isn't working. So I tried the speakers on my old computer to see if it was just the speakers that was causing the problem, but they worked fine on the old computer, so its not the speakers.. Whats going on? The new computer has Windows XP..Is that it?

Re: Reversed @ and " by Anonymous Ghost on July 13th, 2004 01:45:01 PM
If your keyboard is mixing up @ and " you probably have it on UK rather than US English. you should be able to fix that on regional settings
Re: Keyboard not working properly by Anonymous Ghost on July 27th, 2004 10:31:14 PM
may be this is a virus. scan the system for W32/Parite.B, VBS/Redolf viruses. Probably you will get rid of the problem
