| I want to format my flash disk type LG 128MB | Configuration: |

The mode of booting from BIOS\'s-FDD ZIP

- Driver installation not required (except on Win 98)
- At least 10 years date retention of stored information
- Read and write over a thousand times

Additional Comments: Dear Sir, Yesterday I bought a 128 MB LG pen drive(M_Disk). After copying some files and directories for the first time to the drive I was not able to delete them. Now I can not even copy files to pen drive and the capacity of drive is not correct. I tried to format it but windows format is unable to do it. Kindly let me know how can I format the pen drive properly?

right-click on the flash disk, press format, choose FAT (not FAT32 or NTFS),
format. If this doesn't work, then return it before your warrantee expires to get another. there's suppossed to be at least 3months warrantee on it. Good luck. |

Goto Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Computer Management. Under Disk Management, your flash drive will be showing.
Put a new partition on it and format it as FAT (/FAT-16). For drives having 512mb or more use FAT32 |

To create a new partition:-
Goto Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Computer Management. Under Disk Management, your flash drive will be showing.
click the flash drive.
in the bottom frame right click on the unallocated area and click 'New Partition' to open the new partition wizard. In the New Partition Wizard, click Next, click Primary partition, and then follow the instructions on your screen. |
