How to get rid of not wanted 'mouse trail/shadow'?Configuration:
Using Windows 98 on a Toshiba Satellite laptop, the mouse when moved shows its trail (shadow) which really interferes when typing a text. I checked mouse properties but only find speed to alter. How can I get rid of these trails. Thanks for your reply. Operating System : Microsoft Windows 98 second ed.
CPU/Processor : intel pentium II

* "Start", "Settings", "Control Panel", "Mouse", "Pointers" tab, "Scheme"
* Uncheck "Enable pointer shadow"

install the latest drivers for your mouse. in the mouse settings in control panel, you will now see more options including the one to disable trail and the one to disable shadows

Thanks for the advise Anonymous Ghost.
Tried to uncheck 'enable pointer shadow' first, but there isn't that option, will now have to install the latest driver. Do I get that as a free download from the internet? How do I find 'what driver I have installed aleady' I am just using a total basic mouse?
