PC Restarts when a CD is inserted into the CD DriveConfiguration:
When i enter a CD into the CD drive, the system restarts. Why is this happening?

Additional Comments:
When the system Boots, sometimes an error comes which reads, Drive Failure. But when i restart the system it becomes fine.
Operating System : Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional
CPU/Processor : Intel Pentium III 668 MHz
RAM : Actual:192 MB
Hard Disk : segate, Space: 10 GB
Partition Details : C: 4.5 GB
d: 4.5 GB
Monitor : Samatron 14"
CD Drive : LG 52 X

Check you boot sequence in SETUP - make the C drive first choice other two devices either way you want to set up - hope this helps..

I have already done that. Infact i have removed CD Drive from the options as well. Main problem is that when i insert the cd while im logged on to windows, the system restarts after reading the CD.

I was haveing the same prob with my computer.

I replast the power supply and that fixet it.
