I found a discarded Windows 98 AST 622 and all I can get is \"modem not found.\" I tried another modem which appeared to install OK with the same result. The computer was networked but the modem wouldn\'t work when I didn\'t enter the network either. The DOS browser Arachne and some ISP installation programs failed to detect it also. The soundcard also doesn\'t work. Those things hardly ever fail so I think the owner may have disabled them some way in the software although the system folder shows them and the drivers are there. Not being a techie, I\'ll never figure it out myself, and the thing isn\'t worth spending money on to me.
