| USB flash disk locked | Configuration: |

When reinstalling Windows xp I left the unknown brand 1.1 128 pen in the computer. It is now locked solid. I can't get anything out, and I can't format it. Any ideas?
| Operating System : MS Windows xp
CPU/Processor : P111 1000 MHz
RAM : Actual:128 MB
Motherboard : dell
Hard Disk : , Space: 40 GB, RPM:7500
Monitor : Compaq 17"
CD Drive : LG DVD 48 X

Following is the solution to all your problems:-
Goto Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Computer Management. Under Disk Management, your flash drive will be showing.
Put a new partition on it and format it as FAT (/FAT-16). For drives having 512mb or more use FAT32 |

I tried this, but of no use.
I am using 128 MB, so i selected the following options
File Type: FAT
Allocation Unit Size: Default
100% completed and finally says "The format failed to complete successfully"
Would appreciate any ideas or help...

LG flash disk 128mb, when i save info to it, cannot be read on another computer, even its self when brought back to the same computer. What could the problem & solution Plse. |

i have a flash disk which when I wish to use indicates that it is WRITE PROTECTED.i have used it on several occasions and in fact it has info which currently I cannot retrieve.The disk does not have any write protect knob.please assist. |
