Re: RPL-ROM-FFC: 5 Not Found by Anonymous Ghost on October 21st, 2004 01:47:45 PM hey i work in a computer repair shop and had the same problem with a machine which is what brought me to your post. If you havent found an answer already try this. Many motherboards after any type of change will have a problem seeing a drive that is set in master if there is no slave on the same cable. Try setting your drive to cable select if it isnt already and see if that helps you. |

Re: RPL-ROM-FFC: 5 Not Found by Anonymous Ghost on December 04th, 2004 05:47:53 PM Hi there, I am Richard Kawuma A+ certified professional. Sorry about the behaviour of your pc, follow these steps they will give you a solution.
1. Restart your pc and go to the BIOS. Check to see if your S.M.A.R.T for hard disk is disabled, if it is, change it to enable and restart your pc.
2. Check you IDE cable, set the jumpers to cable select
3. Check your BIOS and configure it to detect the hard disk automatically.
4. Hope you have go it. You pc should be ready to run.
5. If it doesn't boot up witht the OS then you have to repartition it, format it and reload the OS. I had this problem, when I carried out those procedures, the PC was fine and is now runing very well.
