A4 Tech mouse cursor freezesConfiguration:
I have a PS2 mose and the mouse cursor freezes after a short time. Other processes continue in the background. I downloaded the most current mouse driver for the SWW-23 and installed it but no luck. I removed the PS2 mouse and installed a basic microsoft serial mouse which seems to work OK Operating System : Microsoft Windows ME 4.90.3000
CPU/Processor : Intel Celeron 700 MHz
RAM : Actual:128 MB
Motherboard : SOYO 7VBA133 66MHz
Hard Disk : , Space: 20 GB

try replacing the mouse with the ps/2 mouse of your friend. if all is fine, your mouse has a problem and you should get this one repaired or buy a new ps2 mouse.

if you experience problems with the borrowed mouse the problem could be with the os. watch the cpu usage percentage. if it shoots up to 100% frequently you need to monitor and see which application is taking the most cpu. also try running anti-spyware like spybot, adaware and a anti-virus like norton, mcafee.

if still the problem is happening, problem could be in your ps2 port. try inserting the mouse into another ps2 port if you have.
